I r <br /> r � 1 <br /> 1. Minimum. One passage for each roof sign upon <br /> a building. <br /> 2 . Horizontal extension. One passage for every <br /> fifty lineal feet (50' ) of horizontal roof sign extension. <br /> 3. Proximity to walls . One passage within twenty , <br /> . feet (20' ) of walls and parapets when roof signs are at right <br /> angles to a face of the building. Roof signs placed parallel to <br /> a wall shall maintain a four foot (4' ) set back from said wall. <br /> C. Maximum Height - The height of the roof sign above the <br /> : roof must be no more than two and one-half (2-1/2) times the <br /> Jheight of the building above the ground and in no case exceed <br /> seventy-five feet (75 ' ) above the roof line. <br /> For the purpose of this Section, signs shall be con- <br /> sidered as part of the building and the combined height of build- <br /> ing and sign shall not exceed the height limitation set by the <br /> Zoning Code. <br /> Section 9: Wall Signs <br /> A. Projection - Wall signs shall project not more than <br /> twenty-four inches (24 ) over public property. <br /> B. Maximum Height - Wall signs shall not extend more <br /> . than twelve inches (12" ) above the highest point of parapet or <br /> roof of the supporting building. <br /> C . Vertical Clearance - Wall signs shall maintain the <br /> following minimum vertical clearances where they project over: <br /> 1. Alleys . Minimum of fourteen feet (14") . <br /> 2. Public Property. Minimum of ten feet (10") . <br /> Section 10: Projecting Signs <br /> A. Projection - Projecting signs shall project over <br /> io public property not more than ten feet (10' ) but in no event <br /> p closer than five feet (5' ) to the curb line. <br /> B. Vertical Clearance - Projecting signs shall maintain <br /> the following minimum vertical clearances where they project over: <br /> 1. Alleys. Minimum of fourteen feet (14' ) . <br /> (Maximum projection of 2' ) . <br /> 2. Public property. Minimum of ten feet (10' ) . <br /> Section 11: Combination Signs <br /> A. General - The individual requirements of roof, <br /> projecting pole and ground signs shall be applied for combination <br /> signs incorporating any or all of the requirements specified in <br /> the respective sections. <br /> Section 12: Marquees <br /> A. Size - Marquee signs may not exceed fifteen inches <br /> (15") in depth or six feet (6' ) in height unless the marquee <br /> itself is higher, in which case they may extend to the height of <br /> the marquee. <br />
