I r r � 1 1. Minimum. One passage for each roof sign upon a building. 2 . Horizontal extension. One passage for every fifty lineal feet (50' ) of horizontal roof sign extension. 3. Proximity to walls . One passage within twenty , . feet (20' ) of walls and parapets when roof signs are at right angles to a face of the building. Roof signs placed parallel to a wall shall maintain a four foot (4' ) set back from said wall. C. Maximum Height - The height of the roof sign above the : roof must be no more than two and one-half (2-1/2) times the Jheight of the building above the ground and in no case exceed seventy-five feet (75 ' ) above the roof line. For the purpose of this Section, signs shall be con- sidered as part of the building and the combined height of build- ing and sign shall not exceed the height limitation set by the Zoning Code. Section 9: Wall Signs A. Projection - Wall signs shall project not more than twenty-four inches (24 ) over public property. B. Maximum Height - Wall signs shall not extend more . than twelve inches (12" ) above the highest point of parapet or roof of the supporting building. C . Vertical Clearance - Wall signs shall maintain the following minimum vertical clearances where they project over: 1. Alleys . Minimum of fourteen feet (14") . 2. Public Property. Minimum of ten feet (10") . Section 10: Projecting Signs A. Projection - Projecting signs shall project over io public property not more than ten feet (10' ) but in no event p closer than five feet (5' ) to the curb line. B. Vertical Clearance - Projecting signs shall maintain the following minimum vertical clearances where they project over: 1. Alleys. Minimum of fourteen feet (14' ) . (Maximum projection of 2' ) . 2. Public property. Minimum of ten feet (10' ) . Section 11: Combination Signs A. General - The individual requirements of roof, projecting pole and ground signs shall be applied for combination signs incorporating any or all of the requirements specified in the respective sections. Section 12: Marquees A. Size - Marquee signs may not exceed fifteen inches (15") in depth or six feet (6' ) in height unless the marquee itself is higher, in which case they may extend to the height of the marquee.
