ORDINANCE NO. p yt) q� r0 AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacating of the follow- . ing described portion of street and alley in the City of Everett, t1County of Snohomish, State of Washington, to-wit: South twenty feet of Thirteenth Street, from i Norton Avenue west for approximately 2,240 feet M/L to the top step of the bulkhead and described as follows: The south 20 feet of the following described tract: Commence at the monument at the intersection of Grand Avenue and 14th Street; thence westerly and following the monument line of 14th Street produced for 586.45 feet M/L to the westerly line of the Old Northern Pacific Railway right of way; thence angle right 88°37' and following the said westerly line of the old Northern Pacific Railway right of way for 333.10 feet to the True Point of Beginning; thence angle left 88°37 ' for 2250.25 feet M/L to the Government Pierhead Line; thence angle right 93°33'50" and following said Govern- ment Pierhead Line northeasterly for 100.19 feet; thence angle right 86°26' 10" for 24.15 .06 feet M/L to the westerly line of Norton Avenue; thence angle right 88°07' 30" and following the westerly line of Norton Avenue for 100 .05 ft. • M/L; thence angle right 91°52 ' 30" for 174. 31 ft . M/L to the True Point of Beginning; Less the west 185 ft . M/L lying west of the top step of the bulkhead. WHEREAS, the owners of more than two-thirds of the private property abutting upon the portion of street and alley above described have duly filed their petition with the City Council of Everett praying for the vacation of said portion of street and alley, and WHEREAS, said City Council of the City of Everett did by resolution duly adopted, fix the 27th day of May, 1964 , at 10:00 A.M. of said day for the hearing and determination of said petition, and WHEREAS, due and legal notice of the time and place of said hearing and the determination of said petition has been given by the City Clerk in the manner prescribed by law, and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for hearing objec- tions to the vacating of the herein described portion of street and alley were heard and discussed, and WHEREAS, it now appears to the City Council that said petition should be granted subject to certain reservations and exceptions and said City Council does hereby determine to vacate the above described portion of said street and alley subject to certain reservations and exceptions .
