I <br /> 111 CITY OF EVERETT SPECIAL PROVISIONS [Modified per Addendum #1] <br /> due the Contractor. It is further understood and agreed that none of the services <br /> performed by the City's Representative in monitoring, reviewing and reporting Project <br /> status and progress shall relieve the Contractor of responsibility for planning and <br /> managing construction Work in conformance with the construction schedule. <br /> 1-08.4(2) Work Sequencing <br /> (******) <br /> The intention of construction sequencing requirements and constraints is <br /> • To limit the size of the area disrupted by construction at any one time, <br /> • To limit impacts to local institutions, residents and businesses and, <br /> • To ensure that restoration occurs within a reasonable timeframe following <br /> pipeline installation. <br /> The work, as depicted on the plans and details and as described in the General <br /> 1 Description and Location of Project at the beginning of Division 1, shall be constructed <br /> in a pre-planned sequence developed by the Contractor and shown in detail on the <br /> construction schedule as defined in Section 1-08.3. Pipelines shall be constructed <br /> beginning at the downstream end and progressing upstream. <br /> • The Contractor shall start with the work on Colby Ave. <br /> 1-08.4(3) Special Construction Constraints <br /> (******) <br /> Refer to 1-08.0(2) for work hours. <br /> Refer to 1-07.23(1) for construction under traffic and 1.07.23(1)A for general traffic <br /> requirements. <br /> Provide notice in accordance with 8-20.3(1) of these Special Provisions to City of <br /> Everett Traffic Department before cutting induction loop wiring. <br /> Pay particular attention to maximum length allowed between sampling points on new <br /> water main in accordance with 7-09.3(24)H FINAL FLUSHING AND TESTING. <br /> Night work will be allowed for water connection work and shall be in accordance with <br /> the noise variance, included in Appendix E. <br /> The contractor shall coordinate with other projects in the area including the HMA <br /> Overlay of Rucker Ave., which is 2 blocks to the west of the Sewer 0 project work on <br /> Colby. The City will not allow full block closure of Colby Ave. until Rucker Ave. paving <br /> is complete and fully operational. This work is anticipated to be completed by July 1st, <br /> 2020. See Drawing TC2 of the Contract plans. <br /> The City will allow full block street closures on Colby Ave between 7 am and 5 pm on <br /> working days, as part of Contractor's Temporary Traffic Control Plan, as long as no <br /> more than two consecutive blocks are closed at a time along Colby Avenue. See <br /> Drawing TC1 of the Contract plans for detour routes. Outside these hours the <br /> contractor shall provide traffic control in accordance with Drawing TC2 of the Contract <br /> Plans. Maintain pedestrian access during full block closures. Temporary roadway and <br /> sidewalk patching shall be completed prior to re-opening a closed block of street. <br /> East/West access shall be maintained across Colby Ave. at 37th St, 38th St, 39th St and <br /> 40th St. The contractor shall keep one lane open in each direction, except as <br /> necessary to perform work in the intersection. While working in the intersection, <br /> provide detour, flaggers, or a uniformed police officer to direct traffic, as appropriate. <br /> ' Contractor shall be aware of the abandoned trolley tracks on Colby Ave., that have <br /> been paved over.
