0 <br /> June 24, 2020 <br /> Council Member Murphy stated that the Everett Public Main Library is providing <br /> curbside pickup of library items. More information can be found on the Library <br /> website at epls.org. He also stated that the YMCA has opened lap pool swimming <br /> and offers Everett residents a discounted daily rate. Council Member Murphy <br /> provided a liaison report from the Everett Public Facilities Finance Committee. <br /> Council Member Roberts provided updates on two Black Lives Matter events he <br /> attended. He stated that the Puget Sound Clean Air Agency issued a statement on <br /> racism as a public health threat. Council Member Roberts stated he will be <br /> attending the Sound Transit Board meeting on Thursday. <br /> Council Member Vogeli stated she toured the Woods Creek property. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher stated she also visited the Woods Creek property. <br /> She made a statement regarding racial equity, ways the city is addressing those <br /> issues, and working to institute real change. She stated that Mayor Franklin has <br /> • suggested establishing Juneteenth as a City holiday and that she is open to <br /> discussing this collaboratively with Administration, along with other policies for <br /> change. She stated the next Public Safety Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for <br /> July 1 at 5 p.m. where they will discuss Police Department policies, use of force, <br /> and address the 8 Can't Wait campaign. <br /> ADMINISTRATION UPDATE ON PRIOR BUSINESS <br /> Bob Bolerjack, Administration, provided an update on the City's Climate Action <br /> Plan. <br /> Deputy Mayor Nick Harper, on behalf of Administration,thanked Mr. Bolerjack for <br /> his years of service as he will be retiring in the next week. <br /> Mayor Franklin and council members thanked and congratulated Mr. Bolerjack, <br /> along with Paul Kaftanski and Lyle Ryan, Administration, who are also retiring by <br /> the end of the month. <br /> • <br /> 185 <br />
