I1 entry or right of way, the Contractor will be entitled to an extension of time. The <br /> 2 Contractor agrees that such delay shall not be a breach of contract. <br /> I 3 <br /> 4 Each property owner shall be given 48 hours notice prior to entry by the Contractor. This <br /> 5 includes entry onto easements and private property where private improvements must <br /> I 6 be adjusted. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 The Contractor shall be responsible for providing, without expense or liability to the <br /> I <br /> 9 10 Contracting Agency, any additional land and access thereto that the Contractor may <br /> desire for temporary construction facilities, storage of materials, or other Contractor <br /> 11 needs. However, before using any private property, whether adjoining the work or not, <br /> 12 the Contractor shall file with the Engineer a written permission of the private property <br /> 13 owner, and, upon vacating the premises, a written release from the property owner of <br /> 14 each property disturbed or otherwise interfered with by reasons of construction pursued <br /> 15 under this contract. The statement shall be signed by the private property owner, or <br /> 16 proper authority acting for the owner of the private property affected, stating that <br /> 17 permission has been granted to use the property and all necessary permits have been <br /> 18 obtained or, in the case of a release, that the restoration of the property has been <br /> I 19 20 satisfactorily accomplished. The statement shall include the parcel number, address, <br /> and date of signature. Written releases must be filed with the Engineer before the <br /> 21 Completion Date will be established. <br /> I 22 <br /> 23 1-08.0.RTF <br /> 24 1-08 PROSECUTION AND PROGRESS <br /> 1 25 <br /> 26 Add the following new section: <br /> 27 <br /> I 28 1-08.0 Preliminary Matters <br /> 29 (May 25, 2007 APWA GSP) <br /> 30 <br /> 31 1-08.0(1).RTF <br /> 32 Add the following new section: <br /> 33 <br /> I 34 1-08.0(1) Preconstruction Conference <br /> 35 (October 10, 2008 APWA GSP) <br /> 36 <br /> I 37 Prior to the Contractor beginning the work, a preconstruction conference will be held <br /> 38 between the Contractor, the Engineer and such other interested parties as may be <br /> 39 invited. The purpose of the preconstruction conference will be: <br /> I 40 1. To review the initial progress schedule; <br /> 41 2. To establish a working understanding among the various parties associated or <br /> 42 affected by the work; <br /> I 43 3. To establish and review procedures for progress payment, notifications, approvals, <br /> 44 submittals, etc.; <br /> 45 4. To establish normal working hours for the work; <br /> I 46 5. To review safety standards and traffic control; and <br /> 47 6. To discuss such other related items as may be pertinent to the work. <br /> 48 <br /> I 49 The Contractor shall prepare and submit at the preconstruction conference the following: <br /> 50 1.
