SECTION 01000 <br /> GENERAL CONDITIONS <br /> 1.01 DOCUMENTS <br /> The signed agreement,the present Drawings and all supplementary details to be made later, and <br /> the Specifications with subsequent amendments, are the documents forming the Contract. All are <br /> cooperative and what is called for by one shall be as binding as if called for by all. <br /> 1.02 DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS <br /> A. The Drawings and Specifications referred to describe the construction and character of the <br /> different parts of the Work. All descriptions wherever they appear must be accurately followed. <br /> B. In case any discrepancy in the figures is discovered,the matter shall be immediately submitted to <br /> the Construction Manager for decision, and without this decision said discrepancy shall not be <br /> adjusted by the Contractor save at their own risk. In the settlement of any complication arising <br /> from said adjustment,the Contractor shall bear all the extra expense involved. <br /> 1.03 CONTRACTOR <br /> A. The term "Contractor"herein shall in all cases mean the Roofing Contractor,unless otherwise <br /> stated. <br /> B. The Contractor shall give his personal superintendance and direction to the Work,and shall keep <br /> a competent foreman constantly on the grounds authorized to receive instructions and act on his <br /> behalf. He shall provide all labor,transportation, materials, apparatus, scaffolding, and <br /> equipment necessary for the completion and substantial execution of everything shown, <br /> described, or reasonably implied in the Drawings and Specifications. <br /> C. The Contractor shall carefully lay out his work and he shall be responsible for any mistakes he <br /> may make, and any injury resulting from them. He shall attend to every part of the work <br /> personally or through a competent foreman; shall give necessary lines, levels,patterns,and <br /> dimensions according to the Drawings and Specifications; shall see that they are preserved and <br /> followed correctly, and that all the requirements of the Drawings and Specifications and Contract <br /> are followed by subcontractors and employees at all times. <br /> 1.04 DEFINITION OF OWNER <br /> Wherever the term Owner appears, it shall mean the Gilbraltar,LLC. <br /> 1.05 DEFINITION OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGER <br /> Wherever the term Construction Manager appears, it shall mean the Engineer,Roof Engineering <br /> Technologies, or his/her authorized representative. <br /> 1.06 PUBLIC ORDINANCES AND REGULATIONS <br /> A.
