Should anything be noted in these specifications to the <br /> contrary,the contractor shall not take advantage of same,but shall comply in every particular <br /> with the ordinances governing the work in question. He shall consult the Construction Manager <br /> on all such variances, and shall provide all labor and materials to complete the work as required <br /> by the ordinances and as directed by the Construction Manager and at no additional cost to the <br /> Owner. <br /> B. The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all necessary permits pertaining to the roofing, and <br /> comply with all the public regulations relating to building and the preservation of public health <br /> and safety. He shall also obtain all certificates of inspection from the City Department issuing <br /> them and submit same to the Construction Managers office. <br /> 1.07 EXAMINATION OF PREMISES <br /> The Contractor will be held to have examined the site so as to compare the same with the <br /> Drawings and Specifications and to have informed himself as to the condition of the premises and <br /> the nature of the work previously done by other contractors (except for those elements precluded <br /> from inspection due to cover by other parts of the structure). No allowance will subsequently be <br /> made in behalf of the Contractor by reason of omission on his part to include the cost of all items <br /> of labor or materials whether they are or are not particularly shown or noted,but which are <br /> implied or required to attain the completed conditions contemplated by the contract. <br /> 1.08 RESPONSIBILITY OF CONTRACTOR <br /> The Contractor specifically and distinctly assumes all risk of damage or injury to any persons or <br /> property wherever located,resulting from any action or operation under this Contract or in <br /> connection with the Work. <br /> 1.09 PROTECTION <br /> A. The Contractor and his subcontractors shall at all times prior to the acceptance of the Work, <br /> protect and care for his or their materials and workmanship and deliver the same to the Owner <br /> and a complete piece of work. <br /> B. The Contractor shall properly barricade his work at all times and erect proper shelters wherever <br /> necessary so as to properly protect the Work/materials from damage. All such barricades shall <br /> be so arranged as to insure the safety of the workmen and the passerby,and to fulfill the <br /> requirements of all laws and ordinances pertaining thereto. Combustibles shall not be stored in <br /> the buildings and trash must be promptly removed as it accumulates. All fire prevention <br /> regulations shall be strictly observed. <br /> 1.10" SANITARY CONVENIENCES <br /> Contractor shall provide and maintain acceptable sanitary facilities for use of workmen on the <br /> site. Placement should not obstruct traffic or unit ingress/egress. <br /> 1.11 WATER AND ELECTRICITY <br /> The owner will provide water and electricity necessary for construction unless specifically <br /> designated otherwise.
