2. To use option 2a of Energy Credit Table 406.2, the drawings should specify the <br />maximum tested building air leakage (3.0 air changes per hour) and show the qualifying <br />ventilation system. <br />3. To use option 5a of Energy Credit Table 406.2, the drawings should specify the <br />maximum flow rates for all showerheads, kitchen sink faucets and other lavatory <br />faucets. <br />4. Option 3a of Energy Credit Table 406.2 is worth 1.0 credit under the 2015 code — If <br />desired, either option 2a or 5a can be omitted from the project requirements. <br />5. The floor/ceiling assembly over the garage should be shown insulated on the plans. <br />6. The location of the whole house fan should be shown on the plans. Section M1507.1 <br />7. The sone rating of the whole -house fan should be shown as 1.0 or less. Section <br />M 1507.3.4.2 <br />8. The provision for outside air (ventilation openings vs. supply fan) should be detailed on <br />the plans. M 1507.3.4 <br />Structural <br />1. Please provide a wet-signed/stamped set of the structural calculations for review. <br />2. The hold downs for the 1' story shear walls on the South elevation should be shown as <br />type 7-2' per the structural notes. <br />All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC), the 2015 International Fire <br />Code (IFC), the 2015 International Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2015 Washington State <br />Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by the State of Washington and adopted by the City of <br />Everett. The current IBC referenced standard for accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and <br />Usable Buildings and Facilities" (ICC/ANSI A117.1). Federal ADA regulations and standards may <br />be more restrictive. These comments address building issues only. Additional revisions or <br />additions may be required by other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
