Duties of Police Department. All employees of the Police <br /> 5 Department shall make a report in writing to the Building Inspector <br /> of any buildings or structures which are, may be, or are, suspected to be <br /> 6 "dangerous buildings" within the terms of this Ordinance. Such <br /> reports must be delivered to the Building Inspector within twenty- <br /> 7 four (24) hours of the discovery of such buildings by any employee of <br /> the Police Department. <br /> 8 <br /> SECTION 15: That there is added to Chapter 2.24, Everett City <br /> 9 Code, a new section to read as follows: <br /> 10 2.24.095. Separability. It is the intention of the City Council <br /> that each separate provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed <br /> 11 independent of all other provisions herein, and it is further the <br /> intention of the City Council that if any provision of this Ordinance <br /> 12 be declared invalid, all other provisions thereof shall remain valid <br /> and enforceable. <br /> 13 <br /> SECTION 16: That there is added to Chapter 2.24, Everett City <br /> 14 Code, a new section to read as follows: <br /> 15 2.24.096. Other Remedies. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be <br /> construed to abrogate or impair the power of the municipality of <br /> 16 the City of Everett, acting through its duly authorized officers <br /> and officials, to enforce any provisions of its Charter or of any <br /> 17 other Ordinance of the City of Everett or regulation, or to proceed <br /> under the laws of the State of Washington in cases provided for public <br /> 18 nuisances, or otherwise. <br /> 19 SECTION 17: That Section 2.24.100, Everett City Code, is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 20 <br /> 2.24.100. Violations - Penalty. Any person who shall violate any of <br /> 21 the provisions of this Chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and <br /> upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not <br /> 22 exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ( 300.00), or by imprisonment in <br /> the City Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both <br /> 23 such fine and imprisonment. 4ach day a violation continues to exist <br /> in violation of the provisions of this Chapter, shall constitute a <br /> 24 separate offense under this Ordinance and be punishable as such. <br /> 25 SECTION 18: That Section 203 of the 1961dition of the Uniform <br /> Building Code as adopted by Chapter 2.12 of Everett City Code, be, and <br /> 26 said Section 203 is hereby repealed. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 6 s <br /> 29 MAYOR <br /> 30 Attest: <br /> 31 e _ <br /> 32 t CITY CLERK <br /> Passed: March 26, 1963. <br /> Published: rr 28, 1963. <br />
