Duties of Police Department. All employees of the Police 5 Department shall make a report in writing to the Building Inspector of any buildings or structures which are, may be, or are, suspected to be 6 "dangerous buildings" within the terms of this Ordinance. Such reports must be delivered to the Building Inspector within twenty- 7 four (24) hours of the discovery of such buildings by any employee of the Police Department. 8 SECTION 15: That there is added to Chapter 2.24, Everett City 9 Code, a new section to read as follows: 10 2.24.095. Separability. It is the intention of the City Council that each separate provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed 11 independent of all other provisions herein, and it is further the intention of the City Council that if any provision of this Ordinance 12 be declared invalid, all other provisions thereof shall remain valid and enforceable. 13 SECTION 16: That there is added to Chapter 2.24, Everett City 14 Code, a new section to read as follows: 15 2.24.096. Other Remedies. Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed to abrogate or impair the power of the municipality of 16 the City of Everett, acting through its duly authorized officers and officials, to enforce any provisions of its Charter or of any 17 other Ordinance of the City of Everett or regulation, or to proceed under the laws of the State of Washington in cases provided for public 18 nuisances, or otherwise. 19 SECTION 17: That Section 2.24.100, Everett City Code, is hereby amended to read as follows: 20 2.24.100. Violations - Penalty. Any person who shall violate any of 21 the provisions of this Chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine in any sum not 22 exceeding Three Hundred Dollars ( 300.00), or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both 23 such fine and imprisonment. 4ach day a violation continues to exist in violation of the provisions of this Chapter, shall constitute a 24 separate offense under this Ordinance and be punishable as such. 25 SECTION 18: That Section 203 of the 1961dition of the Uniform Building Code as adopted by Chapter 2.12 of Everett City Code, be, and 26 said Section 203 is hereby repealed. 27 28 6 s 29 MAYOR 30 Attest: 31 e _ 32 t CITY CLERK Passed: March 26, 1963.
