I 220 <br /> July 13,1977 <br /> Carol Miller,a resident in the area,spoke against the proposal.and_reminded <br /> the council there were many children,II <br /> and retired people in the <br /> area <br /> Councilman Aldcroft asked if the suggestion that an L/D would be imposed <br /> on the residents for the improvement of the street was the basis for <br /> their objection and she replied that actually Shia WOO.Ss a hardahiP <br /> but it was the traffic that was the big problem. <br /> Moved by Councilman Moore,seconded by Councilman Michelson to concur <br /> in the recommendation of the Planning Commission and authorize a special <br /> property use permit subject to the eleven conditions as stipulated by <br /> the Planning Commission. <br /> Councilman Juckett spoke against tbe proposal,feeling there was no <br /> traffic problem at the present time and said he felt the condition P9 <br /> should be eliminated from the permit. <br /> President Ebert suggested that when the church enrollment grows,they <br /> be requested to improve the street at that time. <br />. . moved by Councilman duckett,seconded by Councilman Aidoroft to amend <br /> the motion deleting from the special property use permit condition i9 <br /> . • <br /> .• regarding improvement of Colby Avenue.. <br /> Roll was called with Councilmen Aldcroft,Juckett and Ebert voting yes <br /> and Councilmen[Angus,Moore and Michelson voting no. <br /> Motion Lost <br /> Roll was called on the original motion to authorize the special proper- <br /> ; ty use permit with the eleven conditions with all councilmen voting yes <br /> except Councilmen Juckett and Ebert who voted no and Councilman Gipson <br /> who was excused. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Councilman bangus left the meeting at this time. <br /> RECONSIDER COUNCIL BILL 776-223 <br /> Moved by Councilman Juckett,seconded by Councilman Aldcroft to reconsid- <br /> er the proposed Council Bill reducing the occupation tax on Washington <br /> Natural GaS Company that bad been previously defeated in workshop session. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman Gipson <br /> who was excused and Councilman bangus who was absent. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Moved by councilman Aldoroft,seconded by Councilman Michelson to continue ' <br /> for 90 days Council Bill 776-222 and Council Bl. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman.ipso. <br /> who was excused and Councilman Langus who was absent. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> Councilman Langus returned to the meeting at this time. <br />.•. <br />.• <br />
