Certain areas with particular geologic formations <br /> crop out and/or particular soil types occur on slopes of 258 or greater <br /> constituting land slide hazard areas. Steep slopes are a scenic resOurce <br /> especially forested slopes at the edge of the plateau overlooking the <br /> . Snohomish River floOdPlein. <br /> Due to rising land costs,developments are more frequently tending to <br /> occur on areas of steep slope,a practice which results in severe <br /> erosion at the time of construction and continuing erosion thereafter. <br /> .
