18 <br /> January 19,1983 <br /> k Ves2N71rE.k1=1:',:17::7d "—"'an"""°"°'to <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the City of Everett to add <br /> an additional$10,000 in economic development funds <br /> for a real estabe market analysis of Downtown Everett. <br /> WHEREAS,redevelopment of downtown sections of the City of Everett <br /> is desirable;end <br /> WBEREAS,to accomplish significant economic stimulus and quality <br /> development the City must provide current and accurate statistics, <br /> facts and analyses,and <br /> WHEREAS,appropriate and.current dotailed analyse.of the downtown <br /> market are not avai/able,and <br /> IMIEREAS,the City has commissioned an Economic Assessment Study to <br /> be concluded by April,1983; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,be it resolved by the Everett City Council as <br /> follows; <br /> THAT the City of Everett Administration be authorized to allocate <br />-„-- an additional$10,000 of General Fund monieg to include in the Economic <br /> Assessment study a comprehensive,detailed and complete real estate <br /> market analysis of downtown Everett. <br /> Roll was call.with all Councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion Carried <br /> : EVERETT SELF-HELP PRO. PROPOSED <br /> Councilman Stephaneon introduced Ray Marsh,owner of ths Onion 76 <br /> station at Hewitt and Broadway,who provided funds to helP Purchase <br /> an eye machine to enable a young bod vee better. <br /> e <br /> hr.Marsh explained that the rebate program allowed by the Union <br /> Oil Company-to help purchase the eye machine had been extended and <br /> he would like to propose a program called'Everett Self-Help.. This <br /> le program would provide temporary short-term employment to individuals <br /> who would.perform services for the City. He reported that Red Wolfe, <br /> of Bry,TV Appliances,had already contributed$1,000 to the Project. <br /> 8 Mr.Marsh said that per gallon of gasoline sold at the statiOn <br /> fox the next 30 days would be turned over to the City.
