Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Moore and all Councilmen were in attendance,except Councilman <br /> Overstreet,who was excused. <br /> 4 I Minutes of the meeting held May 18,1983,were approved as printed. <br /> INVITATION <br /> Ii Chuck Moser extended an invitation to Council to attend a get-together <br /> at his home,2118 Pine,on June 3rd to show support to the Planning <br /> Commission for its development of a plan to make Everett a better Once <br /> in which to live. <br /> , <br />- h <br />. APPO/NTMENT <br /> r I <br /> Moved by Councilman Aldcroft,seconded by Councilman Langus,to concur <br /> Of with the mayor's appointment of Mrs.Helen Johnston to fill the unexpired <br /> term of her late husband,Bill,to serve on the Block Grant Board. <br /> Roll was called with all Councilmen voting yes,except Councilman <br /> Overstreet,who was excused. <br />,l iP Motion Carried <br /> I, ', PROCLAMATION <br /> A A' <br /> Mayor Moore proclaimed May 30th and 31st,1983,as"Circus Vargas Days" <br /> 711in Everett and then presented the proclamation to 00000900 Clown, <br /> rercus Vargas. <br /> ,, presenting Ci <br /> PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br /> President Pope reminded Council that it has been customary dbring the <br /> months of July and August to have light agendas and that they will <br /> try to get a lot of the work done in June. He also asked that Council <br /> k 4 members notify him of their vacation plans so certain agenda items can <br /> be scheduled accordingly. <br /> He then reported that last week he and the Mayor went to Evergreen <br /> Middle School during their Pride Week and sadd that Everett will be in <br /> gOod hands in the future with these gOOdg 000p1O. <br /> COUNCILMEN'S COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Michelson reported on the Emergency Food and Shelter <br /> Committee meeting and Said since some of the applications had not <br /> been comPleted fully,the deadline had been extended until May 27a. <br />
