Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Moore and all Councilmen we.in.tendance. <br /> 333 '1:11a=.7.1;b;cM.vOring.aara a''aaa'a a''aaaaa" <br /> - EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Moore requested that an Executive Session be held after the <br /> regular meeting today to discuss a legal and possible labor matter. <br /> 333,I <br /> 3,d BASEBALL PROPOSAL <br /> Bob Bavasi,owner of the Walla.Walla Franchise of NW Baseball League, <br /> spoke on the possible economic impact if the team came to Everett. He <br /> g . <br /> commented that the facilities were excellent and only needed restroom <br /> modifications and additional seating,which could be of a portable type. <br /> ;IVi. The costs for these items could more than be made up with revenues <br /> reaiiied from salaries,hotel expenses,families vi,ildn93Hvorett; <br /> urged the City to allow professional baseball in Everett. <br /> , Councilman Stephenson reported the Budget Committee had met Monday and <br /> reviewed the request for$40,000 for portable bleachers,with the <br /> request being approved unanimously by the Committee. <br /> :z:14:71./lvepresenting the Chamber of Commerce,spoke in suPPort of <br /> rn answer ho a question Regarding moneY to upgrade the restrooms,Mr. <br /> Seely replied that local support was being encouraged for materials <br /> and services. However,at the most,the shortfall would amount to <br /> $12,000-$15,000,which is not seen as a stumbling block at this time. <br /> -43E; Moved by Councilman Aldcroft,seconded by Councilman Michelson,to <br /> d .d, approve the expenditure of$40,000 for mobile seating at Everett <br /> Memorial Stadium. <br /> issues on the budget. <br /> 311 Eloise Black,of 1620)-35th Ave.S.E.,Bothell,spoke of concerns <br /> relating to liquor sales being allowed at the Stadium at games. <br /> She also question.the expenditure of$90,000 for an activity that <br /> would be dependent on beer sales for monetary support.
