February 15,1984 <br /> Councilman Langus asked if schools and hospitals had been discussed am <br /> Dennis Derickson replied this would be addressed in the next cycle as <br /> it also related to multiple dwelling as well a.single family areas. ' <br /> President Stephenson felt there should be discussion on the administra- <br /> tive process to allow duplexes in R-2 areas as he was concerned this <br /> s ' Might add to the length of time it takes to go tbnough the process,and <br /> Mr.Desickson'seid he would have sonm information for Council along the <br /> line shortly. <br /> John Friel pointed out it was not the intent of the discuseion today to <br /> talk amainst the builders. He felt in the past the City had been <br /> besically giving a bad feeling about local building so they were going <br /> elsewhere. Dennis Gregoire said there were problems up to 1980 but <br />' bbts th9.ty bed aPproved several workable projects. <br /> President Stephenson asked if anyone else wished to speak and no one <br /> replied. <br /> IS I <br /> The workshop meeting recessed at 505 P.S. <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council reconvened at 7:00 p.. <br /> in the Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall,President Stephenson <br /> presiding. Upon roll call it was found that all Councilmen were in <br /> attendance. Mayor Moore was excused. <br /> Minutes of the meeting held February 8,1984,were approved as printed. <br /> COUNCIL COMMON. <br /> Councilman Overstreet reported on the AWC Board meeting he attended <br /> t today and said that Councilman Gipson had been appointed to the policy <br /> committee on human development and Mayor Moore to the traneportation <br /> committee. <br /> He also mentioned legislation regarding the Department of brcensing, <br /> unpaid Eines and asked where the City stood on this. nill Cashman, <br /> Finance Director,neplied he did not know whether tin.City participated <br /> in this program. <br /> S 1 <br /> GAMBLING TAX <br /> ZT1'3g:IgI'd41E:e:=9::glfil'dtt2a:nrgwtg:s7=1 rta7.gg'g:" <br /> used. <br /> Moved by Councilman[Angus,seconded by Councilman Michelson,that <br /> third and final reading of Council Bill No.842-9 and public hearing s <br /> thereon be corMinued to February 29,1984.to provide additional time , <br /> for seviev by Council. <br /> Councrlman Overstreet said the Budget Committee will meet next Wednesday <br /> morning and thIs matter will be a topic of continued discussion and <br /> found no problesa with this delay. <br /> v, - <br />
