Policy Section ry.A.4 Deg.22;1.eijalhlrEutl:cent to single <br /> Recommend that this policy be refined to provide flexibility <br /> during development of comprehensive plan for annexing areas when <br /> other factors would indicate non-single family uses are <br /> POtentially more appropriate. <br /> 6. 11=enod,,,that Planning Commission consider revising the propose, <br /> Li to incorporate references to the use of.e Southwest <br /> Everett Plan in that area of the City. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope,second.by Councilman Michelson,to return <br /> the proposed single Family Residential Policies document along with <br /> the suggestioro set forth in the statement developed by.e Council <br /> Committee to the Planning Commission. <br />; I <br /> President Stephenson asked about roe section that referred to <br />,1 ordinances and Councilman Gipson,member of the committee,explained <br /> they felt implementation was the key and it was necessary to have an <br /> idea what these ordinances would look like. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked if the ordinances would be voted on <br /> separately from the policies at a later date and Jim Iles,Assistant <br /> City Attorney,replied yes. <br /> Viola Oursler wanted to know why R-2 sones wet.e not included in sentinel <br /> that referred to duplexes or attached housing not being allowed on <br /> existing platted lots in single family zoned areas and Councilman MOM. <br /> replied this involved density and the committee was not prepared to <br /> deal wi.this but they wanted the Planning Commission to know they <br /> were very sensitive to R-S and R-1 zones. <br /> 1 1 Gail Chism asked wron this goes back to the Planning Commission would <br /> the entire document be subject ro public heating or just the sections <br /> dealing with R-S and R-1 a.President Stephenson replied that would <br /> be up to the Commission. <br /> Roll was called on the motion wiro all Councilmen voting Yes. <br /> 11-1 I Motion Carried <br /> 11.11 <br />
