472 <br /> December 4,1985 <br /> • <br />:I <br /> ,M=c1iLaC=1..lman Pope,seconded by Councilman GiOnon to close the <br /> Vice President Langus asked if anyone further wished to speak and no <br /> one replied. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman <br /> Stephanson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION-COMP CHANGE <br /> moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Michelson to <br /> adopt Resolution No.2641 an follows: <br /> WHEREAS, application was made on August 26, 1,85 by the <br /> , Finley Architects for A comprehensive Plan Change,and <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing was held heIfore the Planning <br /> Commission on November 12,1985,and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made findings, conclusions, <br /> and a recommendation which is hereby attached, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,THAT the Everett City Council <br /> hereby adopts said recoimendation to change the Compmehensive Plan <br /> Designation from Parks, Open Space and Institution to Multiple <br /> Family. <br />,) Roll was called with all councilmen voting yen ekcePh Conncilomn <br /> Stephenson who was excused. <br /> ) <br /> I' <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-WASH SCHOOL ZONE CHANGE <br /> 7), <br /> Mr. Ervine said the applicant is resnesting rezone change of the <br /> Washington School property(1,00 block between Rockefller and Oakes) <br /> from R-2, Single Family High Density Residential to R-3 Multiple <br /> Family Low Density Residential with a contract limiting the use to <br /> to rehabilitation of the existing three-storY school building and <br /> the building of two three-story living units for moderate income <br /> elderly 60 years of age or older. The complex will also include <br /> food service, beauty/barber shop, exercise facilities, TV lounge, <br /> library and activities room. <br /> He said the Planning Commission held public hearings on Oct. 8 and <br /> November 12, 1985 and had very favorable response from the <br /> neighbors. The Planning Commission recommended the zone change. <br /> Councilman Michelson asked about the parking and Mr. finled rePlied <br /> studies made of like facilities showed that less than 20B of the <br /> tenants had vehicles and there would 50 spaces on the properhY ohioIT <br /> should be sufficient parking spaces. <br />
