Mr. Marstrom <br /> replied he was told he would not have to hook up to the sewer unless <br /> their drain fields went bad or caused problems to otherfi. <br /> . • <br /> Cyril Wilson said he was the proponent of the annexation petition <br /> because he felt he would get better service ate lower cost if he <br /> was in the city. He felt sewers would improve hiS propertyanch <br /> more than other property owners in the five acres. <br /> • President Gipson felt this gentleman wanted the annexation and the <br /> other two wanted the annexation also but they wanted an estimate on <br /> I the costs of sewer installation. <br /> . Moved by Councilamn Pope,seconded by Councilman Langus to continue <br />• I the public hearing until March•5 at 8,30 a.m.and request the Public <br /> Works Department staff to work with the property owners explaining <br /> the time line and an approximate cost of sewer installation. <br /> t. • <br /> • Jeff McCann of 11524 25th Drive S.E.-was concerned, as were the <br /> • other citizens in his neighborhood,that after the area was annexed <br /> it would be zoned to such an extent that it could be highly <br /> developed. He wes not in the annexation area but was adjacent to it <br /> and they were all concerned that that their single family property <br /> would go down in value. <br /> Alice Wilson of 2411A 11fith S. E. said they only have one vacant <br /> j I 1 lot on their property and if the area was annexed they had no <br /> intention of constructing 20 unite on their property. <br />.. .• <br />. .
