126 April 2,1986 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 8:30 a.m.,April 2 1986 in the Council Chambers of the Everett City gall,President Apson presiding. Upon[011 call it was found that Mayor Moore and all councilmen were present. Minutes of the meeting held March 26,1886 were approved as printed with Councilman Morrow abstaining from Voting. [ [ I Councilman Langur commented on the recent newspaper article on the two pit bull terriers who attacked two men and an eight year old girl. The incident happened just outeide the City limits. In his sponsorship of the dangerous dog ordinance, pit bull and pit bull terriers were included as dangerous dogs. Councilman Langus stated I I that these breeds are high risk animals and he may be asking to ! 11 bring the inclusion of these breeds in the dangerous dog ordinance back to the Council for consideration. Councilman Overstreet stated that a letter has been received from Lee Thomas, Administrator of the EPA, in response to the National League of Cities request. Mr. Thomas will provide assistance and Councilman Overstreet wanted it for the record that this avenue of communication is available to the City of Everett. Councilman Pope commented on the street improvements on 34th Street between Grand and Rucker. These improvements were done with 508 block grant funds and 508 street overlay. Councilman Pope stated that Council hae been invited to a special tour of the new County Fail Facility on a Wednesday, either next week Tor lunch or the following week for dinner. The cost will be very reasonable for the meal. President Gipson asked each couneilmember to advise the Council Secretary if they are interested and their preference. L611
