CPTSA, dba Community Transit) and the Snohomish <br /> County Transportation Authority(SNP-TRACI)na, a common interest in <br /> OPOiitY Public transportation to serve the resident of their <br /> respective jurisdictions;and <br /> 0 i WHEREAS,the three Jurisdictions have worked Jointly, through <br /> a compact, to plan for improved transit services for the area's <br /> 1 I ' disabled residents;and w <br /> i 1'4 <br /> a set oWHEREAS,Community Transit and Everett Transit have developed <br /> f coordinated operating policies to improve access to their <br /> f1' transit services;and <br /> 'A 1 WHEREAS, since 1980, the three jurisdictions have been join <br /> sponsors of the North Corridor Extension Proiect to bring high <br /> capacity transit to Snohomish County,and '' <br /> ., I'' WHEREAS, the three jurisdictions were signators to "The I-S <br /> Corridor Right-of-Way Reservation Agreement for High Capacity <br /> Transit In Snohomish County"that was signed January 21,.88:and <br />' 1,i I WHEREAS, there is a need to take the next steps toward the <br /> development cf the high capacity transit system and particularly its <br /> '5,1 funding;cnd <br /> .14 : WHEREAS, the three jurisdictions are embarking on <br /> comprehensive planning efforts to establish the direction for public <br /> " transportation in Everett, the PTBA and the county into the 21st <br /> century. <br /> ,, , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of Everett, the <br /> Snohomish County Public Transportation Benefit Area Corp., and the <br /> /11 Snohomish County Transportation Authority shall: <br /> 1. Coordinate their planning efforts to achieve commonly agreed <br /> upon goals as well as to be mutually supportive of each <br /> Jurisdicition's own goals and program directions; <br /> 2.
