The addition of Kasch and Walter E.Hall will bring six new <br /> soccer fields and five new baseball fields into our park system. <br /> This supervisor will direct a crew <br /> specifically responsible for the <br /> maintenance of those new fields and all existing athletic fields in <br /> the city. <br /> The two live-in rangers will be the first step in initiating <br /> premram Kaseof Silver Lake, and <br /> Loour major regional remote parks,which <br /> provided in these parks, end these rangesus will <br /> Residences etaill be <br /> duties,as well as public information and minimal ln 1 t nancerovide aduties. <br /> The new office specialist will provide secretarial support to the <br /> administration office. When the parks department began with the <br /> e <br /> C.I.P. projects, the administrative secretary was reassigned from <br /> the administrative office to the C.I.P.teem to provide clerical and <br /> o genioetional support. The two new landscaper hositions will be <br /> added Lo the M1orticulturel dlekion o park maintenance. One <br /> landscaper will be predominantly assigned to the greenhouse and <br /> nursery program,supporting the cooperative school district program, <br /> the hanging basket program, and raising landscape plants in the <br /> Legion Park nursery. The second landscaper will be assigned to <br /> landscape maintenance, d will be responsible for upgrading city <br /> entrance ways end developing end maintaining new landscape beds <br /> throughout the city. <br /> Facilities <br /> The facilities department operating budget for 1989 contains <br /> ntalns an <br /> adjustment for four (a) personnel. These positions <br /> include, engineering technician, architect, custodian,and project <br /> coordinator. <br /> Eng9lnaer Technician <br /> M1la ss a drafting position capable of implementing architectural <br /> construction detailing. s <br /> In the past, each project coordinator was <br /> requ. <br /> .ed to do his n drafting or use consultants for the more <br /> complex projects. The department workload has reached the paint <br /> where this has became a drain on the efficiency of each project <br /> coordinator. f''1 <br /> Architect 1� <br /> This position would provide support to handle part f the increased <br /> load f C.I.P. projects as 11 as the increasing demand for <br /> professional <br /> lluserviceson le•tthe t,city maintenance work. Services <br /> required <br /> ability to write building you sophisticated maintenance programs <br /> andy plans and specifications that require the <br /> licensed stamp of an architect In compliance with the City's <br /> building Codes. <br /> Custodian <br /> The addition of office space in the Wetmore Building and service <br /> enter building makes it necessary to increase the custodial staff <br /> by one.
