4 {..,e 400 <br /> November 22,1909 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett wishes to work with.the Port of <br /> £000000 to provide publicaccess <br /> to the harborfront for the <br /> residents of the Port District and the City of Everett;and <br /> WHEREAS, THE Part of Everett has adapted the Everett <br /> Pront Public Access Plan minus the 13th St. project, which <br /> sill i <br /> will be revisited when the plane for the Yacht Club are developed. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> 1. The plan entitled the 'Everett Harboxfront Public Access <br /> Planis hereby adopted without the 13th Street project. <br /> There <br /> is a recognized need for public access in the North <br /> Marina Area and the city agrees with the Port SCommission that <br /> public access at 13th St. will be revisited when plane for <br /> the Yacht Club are developed. The city recognizes the need <br /> for flexibility in regards to the 13th St. proposal in the <br /> plan and the potential relocation of Jordan Park. The city <br /> affirms the need for access to the water such as proposed <br /> with the 13th St. proposal, but is open to another location <br /> and concept. <br /> 2. The City of Everett is ca mmitted to continue to work <br /> cooperatively with the Portof Everett to provide public <br /> access for the public. <br /> 3. The gate from the navy base to the Marine Village shown on <br /> page 23 is not meant to be a requirement of the Navy. IP <br /> possible it is desirable for the Navy to provide a Bate on <br /> the north side of the base to provide access to the Marion <br /> 4. The City Council agrees with the Parks Board and Planning <br /> Commission that the option for the south Hartorfront walkway <br /> below Rucker Hill and east of the Weyerhauser property is <br /> kept open in the future to be revisited. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmembers voting yes. <br /> Notion Carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-ANNEXATION <br /> This is the public hearing on the annexation of a 3.57 acre area <br /> east of Highway OR between East Marine Vies Drive and Burlington <br /> Northern Railroad. <br /> President NSva asked if anyone wished to speak on the proposed <br /> annexation and noe replied. <br /> Moved by councllmember Pope, seconded by Councilmember Morrow to <br /> close the public hearing. <br />��. Roll was called and all councilmembers voted yes. <br /> Notion carried. <br />
