These critical pumps
are key pieces of equipment in the filtration train without which,
customer shortages could become a reality if the starters fail
during the summer peak flow months.
Bid requirements are such that for amounts over$10,000 we must go
out for formal bid. Time constraints of the bid process will not
allow enough time to receive the parts and install them prior to
entering the high flow season. Additionally, pump failure (which
can occur at any time)would become a critical emergency situation.
Therefore, the Public Works Department requests authorization to
Coast
ErstVgi!,te'lLotd=1:X ill'teodter=lvset"::7egtol:rM:
quotes are as follows:
North Coast Electric $13,066
Westinghouse Electric 16,600
Eaton Corporation 13,550
