October 3,1990 'I <br /> 395 <br /> Councilman Diamond said he was n the City's Solid Waste Planning <br /> Committee and he feels that this agreement combines the beat of both <br /> worlds for the City, the City retains all its rights and x111 pay the <br /> same as all other cities in the County far its disposal. <br /> Councilman Overstreet asked for the Mayor's recommendation. Mayor <br /> Kinch stated he hes been trying to follow the direction set by <br /> and e d also does not want to get into the garbage disposal <br /> business. He stated this is the beat negotiated agreementavailable. <br /> Councilman Morrow stated the County has not tried to take advantage <br /> of the City. The agreement is the best for all city and county <br /> residents. The City is still in the driver's seat in dealing with <br /> the siting issues.
