105 <br /> CMarch 6,1991 <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Moser to <br /> declare that an emergency to exist and to adopt Resolution No. <br /> 3442 authorizing the purchase of tea solid-state, reduced <br /> voltage starters from Pllchuck Electric, Inc at a cost of <br /> $15,916.00 as follows: <br /> Wtrfillr:'-tlorrp2=41:r:r4.1TC'eXtirtecP7rYet','Inrtg: <br /> Csummer high flow season;and <br /> WHEREAS, these critical pumps are key elements in the water <br /> distribution system without which customer shortages would <br /> result;and <br /> WHEREAS, the formal bid process will not allow enough time to <br /> receive the parts and have them installed prior to entering the <br /> high flow season;and <br /> WHEREAS, staff have obtained written quotes for the required <br /> motor starters; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT thet an emergency is declared to exist and the staff <br /> is directed to purchase motor starters at the lowest quoted <br /> price of $15,916, including installation, plus sales tax from <br /> Pilchuck Electric Inc. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting Yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Diamond <br /> to authorize the Mayor to sign a supplemental agreement with <br /> Brown 8 Caldwell Consulting Engineers for the design state of <br /> the Water Treatment Plant Expansion and the Fluoridation <br /> project. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Mct,nn carried. <br />
