116 0 AGREEMENT March 15,1991 0 Moved by Councilman Gipson,seconded by Councilman Anderson for the City to accept responsibility for liability that may arise from GTE leased equipment on City premises and authorise the Mayor to sign a Waiver of Insurance Agreement. Councilman Diamond had a question regarding who would be maintaining this equipment. Jim Puteney stated the equipment was under warranty for the first year and then a maintenance agreement would have to be signed. Attorney Bruce Jones told Council that the leasing company wanted to be treated as a bank. They want the equipment insured, and since the City self insures, an indemnification was needed. He felt this was an appropriated business circumstance. %gLli'tinecshtoar:1.1'ntarnetheCieqUipgg'ib-h=:. tic "chn"' Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. • Motion carried. 0 SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE-MUNICIPAL COURT FURNITURE Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilman Overstreet to approve Bank and Office Interiors as a sole source for Municipal Court office furniture in the amount of$12,000 plus Washington State sales tax. The remodel of the Municipal Court will require modifications to existing court•furniture, as well as several new work stations to accommodate e new computer system and future staff increases. Steelcase modular office furniture has been Chosen for its adaptability with existing furniture and its use as a standard throughout all City departments and is available on Washington State Contract 111-87 through our interlocal agreement. Bank a Office Interiors is the vendor that represents the State as supplier of Steelcase. Funds for this furniture will come out of the City's Criminal Justice allocation from the State.
