124 0 <br /> March 20,1991 <br /> () <br /> nS,:00 p.m.an executive session on a real estate matter was <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 20, 1991 in the City <br /> Council Chambers of Everett City Hall, President Morrow <br /> presiding. Upon rollcall it was found that Mayor Kinob and <br /> all councilmen were present. <br /> The minutes Cr the March 15, 1991 meeting were approved as 0 <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch asked for Council's concurrence on the appointments <br /> of Stacy Hager and Cynthia Moreno to the Everett 2000 <br /> Committee. He announced that the first meeting of this <br /> committee would be held April 4,1991,7 p.m.,City Hall. <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Gipson <br /> to concur with the Mayor's appointments of Stacy Hager end <br /> Cynthia Moreno to the Everett 2000 Committee. <br /> 0 <br /> Poll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Moser asked the Mayor if the liaison to the Planning <br /> Department was an ex officio member of this committee. Mayor <br /> Kinch indicated he would not be opposed to this. President <br /> Morrow indicated he would give some thought to it. <br /> The Mayor introduced Randy Tomaras representing Cascade High <br /> School who wee responsible for coordinating Cascade High School <br /> Band's upcoming trip to the Soviet Union to march in the • <br /> Victory Day parade at Red Square. Mr. Tomaras introduced <br /> Alexei Nazarevsky and his interpreter, Syacheslav Stephshkin <br /> from the Soviet Union who are here to finalize these plans. <br /> This will be the first time in the history of the parade that <br /> an American band will perform in it. <br /> President Morrow extended a welcome to the Soviet visitors on <br /> behalf of the Council. <br /> ) <br />
