270 June 5,1991 <br /> COMMENTS REGARDING ZONING AMENDMENTS ( <br /> Councilman Overstreet requested clarification of theprocess <br /> that would be followed on the "short lists of Zoning Code <br /> amendments due to the passag,of Ordinance No.1700-91. <br /> Jim Iles, Assistant City Attorney, stated that an emergency <br /> clause is included in Ordinance No. 178B-91 which makes it <br /> effective upon signature of the Mayor. The Mayor hes signed the <br /> ordinance which makes the ordinance in effect at this time. <br /> Councilman Moser stated that the purpose of Ordinance No. <br /> 17.-91 is to allow Council to consider each of the 19 items <br /> separately and either approve the recommendation of the Planning <br /> Commission for passage in an ordinance nr remand it back to the <br /> Planning Commission far further review and consideration. <br /> Councilman Overstreet questioned whether adequate public <br /> I notification has been provided. <br /> Mr. Iles stated that all notices required for Council's action <br /> have been complied with. <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Anderson <br /> that we interpret our pest action, based upon the clarification <br /> Of our attorney,in saying that we can impose the rules that we 0 <br /> just passed on the action we will be taking on the next issuc. <br /> Councilman Gipson stated that the previous ordinance was passed <br /> and in effect and that this action is not necessary. <br /> Roll was called with Councilmen Anderson and Overstreet voting <br /> yes and Councilmen Gipson, Moser, Pope, Diamond and Morrow <br /> voting na. <br /> Motion defeated. <br /> • <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> =:ntMarcIa 0 <br /> Trag:orliU/o7 statingeanthe P4= hate <br /> recommendations of the Planning Commission to the Zoning Code. <br /> There are 19 items to be considered.
