316 .lune 5,1591 ( <br /> LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Anderson <br /> to adopt recommendation 113 modifying Section 35.050B to allow <br /> for the Panning Director to have more discretion in determining <br /> how landscaping requirements which conflict with parking <br /> requirements and building locations will be applied when <br /> existing buildings or Cues are expended. <br /> Rall was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEAPING(continued) <br /> Mr.Ciffen presented recommendation 116, which requires that the <br /> wetlands in the Silver�m Lake drainage basin be treated more <br /> stringently to implement the reconmendations and promote the <br /> water quality goals of the"Silver Lake Nater Quality, Nutrient <br /> Leading and Management" study adopted by the City Council in <br /> 198a. <br /> Allan Clark, 12013 3rd Avenue, Seattle, requested that <br /> additional opportunity and time be given to explore the <br /> requirements of the current code; 0 <br /> Dan Mathias, Public Works Department, spoke on the importance of <br /> removing pollutants from Silver Lake and maintaining a higher <br /> quality of wetlands in the area to yalntain acceptable water <br /> quality in the lake. <br /> Larry Crawford, Public Warks Department emphasised the <br /> Importance of the wetlands in the water quality process. <br /> Rtheey Moore, Lake Stevens,and Ron Phelps, realtor, spoke against <br /> change. <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope,seconded by Councilman Gipson to close <br /> the public hearing on recommendation dation 116, relating to wetlands <br /> in the Silver Lake drainage basin. <br /> President Morrow asked if anyone else wished to speak and no e <br /> replied. <br /> Rall was Called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> O <br /> n <br />
