C) PURCHASE-TERMINALS&BARCODE READERS The King County Library System awarded bids for Wyse terminals and Internmc barcode readers of the same type we require for use in our Library. Both the vendors and the King County Library System are agreeable to allow the City of Everett to purchase these items at the unit prices bid. RCP 3934 provides for such interlocal cooperation. Roved by Councilman Gipson,seconded by Councilman Overstreet to authorize the interlocal purchases Pram King County library System's bids es follows, 39 Wyse terminals from Jadtec Computers at$16,017.57 including Washington State sales tax and 22 Internee Barcode Readers from Barcodes West at $14,273.68 including Washington State sales tax. Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. Notion carried. Mark Nesse, Library, announced that two significant events'are coming up: 1) August 3 at 8:30 a.m. will be moving day for the library and;2) the grand opening for the library will be August 10 at 1:00 p.m. Councilman Gipson asked if vacation cf excess City right-of-way for sidevmlks and parking was needed. Mark was not aware of this issue and stated that Dave Davis, Public Works, would be able to answer this question. FIRE STATION NO.2 CONTRACT AMENDMENT The original contract and its first amendment set the construction estimate at $1,200,000. The final construction costs including bid on the building and site work came to $1,778,668. This increase resulted in a proportional increase of the architect, fee; the original fee of $99,960 plus fee 1 increase of$48,203 results in a new fee of$148,163.
