He stated he felt that more time should <br /> be given for consideration of the resolution. <br /> rCeo.umigoann4r:;e taamded by Councilman Anderson totable the <br /> Roll was called on the motion to table with Councilmen Gipson, <br /> Anderson, Overstreet, Moser and Pope voting yes and Councilmen <br /> Diamond and Morrow voting no. <br /> Motion to table carried. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Pope introduced Sgt. Terry Miller, President of the <br /> I Everett Police Officers Association for a presentation on <br /> manpower needs. Jerry dilmer, Terry Miller, Marty Parker and <br /> Bill Deckard reviewed the various requirements and needs Cr the <br /> Police Department to maintain adequate police service. A <br /> request for 24 additional police personnel was presented. <br /> 0 <br /> Councilman Moser commented on the passing of Rowell E. Paine, <br /> who retired as the City of Everett Traffic Engineer in 1975. He <br /> also recommended that everyone tour the trail system at Langus <br /> Park. <br /> Councilman Moser asked that the hearing examiner ordinance be <br /> delayed until a report on Nearing.Examiner activities be given <br /> to the Planning Commission and City Council as specified in the 1 <br /> existing ordinance. <br /> Councilman Moser introduced Susan Francisco, Parks Department, <br /> for a report an the various softball tourneys, regional and <br /> (' state,that have been held at Basch Park. <br /> Councilman Overstreet recognized Dave Davis for his quick <br /> response in replacing the stop sign at 10th Street. <br /> Councilmen Overstreet reported that he will introducing a , <br /> resolution in support of federal legislation as proposed by the <br /> CSO Partnership. <br />
