C 573 <br /> O_tober.23,1571 <br /> RESOLUTION-SILVER LANE <br /> Moved by Councilman Gipson, seconded by Councilmen Diamond to <br /> adopt Res03utinn No.3547 identifying the design and development <br /> process for public access and roadway improvements along the <br /> east side of Silver Lake as follows: <br /> WHEREA-', the City of E,erett is committed,as a natter of pcilcy <br /> C and In implementationof the goals of its.Shoreline Master <br /> Program d other related programs, to developing e <br /> comprehensive design and plan for public as for and to the <br /> shorelines of SilverLake and for roadway design for the <br /> properties bordering Silver Lake;and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Co uncil reaffirms that it is the policy of the <br /> City of Everett toprovide safe public access to antlnthe <br /> s <br /> shorelines of SilverLake a e creational and amenity <br /> and in fulfillment ofthe requirements of the State <br /> Shoreline Management Act;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council reaffirm,that it is the policy of the <br /> City of Everett to maintain and improve where possible the water <br /> quality of Silver Lake;and <br /> WHEREAS, uncoordinated design and development of shoreline <br /> public access and roadway improvements to and along the <br /> horelineof Silver Lake do not provide the Pull public benefit <br /> intended and may result in inconsistent or conflicting public <br /> access designs Por portions of the shorelines of the Lake; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE.CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT TH iT: <br /> 1. The City of Everett will actively seek funding from all <br /> available sources <br /> acd,when.funding is available,will prepare a <br /> design study and report establishing the design of the roadway <br /> of SR 527 and the City's plan for public access improvements o <br /> and to the shorelines f Silver Lake. Such study shall include <br /> but not be limited to thb section of road from 112th on the <br /> north to 132nd on the south. <br />
