He <br /> presented two photographs for Council's consideration showing <br /> the street in question and Chinook Avenue. He told Council <br /> that due to the varying widths of right-of-ways, if the road <br /> were to be widened several property owners would lose their <br /> homes. He further stated he felt the vacation should be denied <br /> as there would a loss of access to the Elke shop. <br /> Councilman Pope asked if houses were built on City <br /> right-of-way. On.Fullerton answered no. <br /> ,Of;.rd Ziscx117,=h0f16Xlerton it was shown that there <br /> ( ) <br /> Tom Coleman, 2712 0 100th Street SE, spoke representing Tom <br /> Jones the applicant for Seabrook Highlands. He stated that the <br /> City is requiring that Chinook be brought through for safety <br /> reasons. They'also are requiring us to provide driveway access <br /> to Mr.Elke's workshop. Mr.Obrien will also use this access. <br /> Councilman Moser had a question regarding why the vacation was <br /> necessary if it was not for increasing the lot size. Mr. <br /> Coleman responded that the lots already conform and cannot be <br /> built on because it is a storm retention area. <br /> Susan Morgan, 4918 Chinook Drive, asked for regard for the <br /> property owners. She related that she had purchased her home <br /> becuase it was on a deadend street and was concerned that there 0 <br /> would be more traffic. <br /> mooed 13g.C=fltmglarlton,seconded by Councilman Anderson to <br /> Roll was called ,with all councilmen voting yes except <br /> Councilman Overstreet who was excused and Councilman Pope who <br /> was out of Council Chambers. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 0 <br />
