20 <br /> January 22,1992 () <br /> REPORT-COMMUNITY THEATER PROJECT <br /> Celia Strong, Downtown Development, gave a brief'report on the <br /> Community Theater Project. On October-2,1991, City Council <br /> authorized the Mayor to execute the Design/Build'agreement with <br /> Colby Square Partners for the Community Theater. The design <br /> portion of the project isadvancing well. The ground breaking <br /> ceremony is scheduled for January 30,1992. <br /> PURCHASE-POLICE VEHICLES <br /> Moved by Councilmen Moser,seconded by Councilman Overstreet to <br /> approve the purchase of twelve 1992 Ford Taurus police vehicles <br /> off the Washington State Contract /160A-91 ($13,000 each <br /> including tax/delivery) and one 1992 Ford Ranger P/U, Contract <br /> 11600-91 from Olympic Ford in Marysville, WA and Pour 1992 Ford <br /> Escort passengerc , Contract 1160A-91, from Wendle Ford, <br /> Inc.in Spokane,WA(59,970 each including tax/delivery). <br /> RCucilxmen AnCe1en wPapa0txhoCuclmn sedoting ys 'ore" <br /> Motion carried. - <br /> MANAGEMENT AGREEMENT-WALL STREET 6 CULMBACK BUILDINGS <br /> Moved by Councilman Moser, seconded by Councilman Diamond to <br /> authorize the Mayor to sign a Agreement with Coast <br /> Management Company to manage the Wall Street and Colmbeck <br /> Buildings. <br /> Councilman Overstreet had concerns about whether the management <br /> should be handled internally. .He also wanted to make sure that <br /> appropriate attention had been given to the economics uaf this <br /> issue. <br /> Carlton Gipson, Administration, [viewed the selection <br /> process and answered Councilmembers questions. <br /> Dr. William Brust stated he had experience in using real estate <br /> themanagement <br /> Cit City and felt you get what you pay for. He said if <br /> Y get into the management business then they <br /> should hire someone who has the expertise. <br /> Taya Countrymen questioned whether the city had a real estate <br /> management tlepextment. <br /> �i <br />
