67 <br /> February 10,1992 <br /> C) <br /> WHEREAS, Under Past Mayor Alexander's administration, the city <br /> fought for and got a freeway interchange at 19th Street, and <br /> gnItoLdsearnvoAerntinwgedeLlignezDni.ch brought water from the <br /> WHEREAS,Bud Alexander was very close to both firefighters and <br /> police officers, and he worked hard to add personnel to both of <br /> these departments; <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett,representing <br /> the citizens of the City of Everett, hereby acknowledge and <br /> honor the service of past Mayor Bud Alexander who was at the <br /> forefront of those who pushed the city out from under the old <br /> three-commissioner form of government to the strong-mayor form <br /> of today. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF EVERETT. that the members of the City Council extend their <br /> sympathy to the members of his family. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH <br /> Mayor Kinch recognized Detective Frank Gibson of the Everett <br /> Police Department es the Employee of the Month for February <br /> 1092. <br /> POLICE OFFICER OATH OF OFFICE <br /> Paul Pastor, Police Chief,introduced new police officer,Loyal <br /> Higinbotham, who was given the oath of office by.the City <br /> Clerk. Mayor Kinch presented Officer Higinbotham with his <br /> badge. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilman Campbell reported on the Senior Center Board Meeting <br /> and said the board has requested to be included in the decision <br /> for the purchase of any art work for the Senior Center. Mayor <br /> Kinch said that public art decisions ere under the Cultural <br /> Commission and the Senior Center Board should contact them with <br /> any comments or recommendations. <br /> 0 <br />
