WS <br /> March 18,1.2 <br /> AGREEMENT-SR 526 1-5 Ramp Project <br /> Moved by Councilman Pope, seconded by Councilman Moser to <br /> authorize the Mayor to sign Supplement fl to the Agreement <br /> betymen the City of Everett and Inca Engineers for engineering <br />' services on the SR 526 8 1-5 Ramp Project. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmen voting yes except President <br />, Gipson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING-COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> Vice President Anderson opened a public hearing regarding <br /> Community Development Block Grant Funds. <br /> Councilman Moser explained that his wife is involved on this <br /> conmittee but that he didn't feel he was influenced:therefore, <br /> qualified to participate in this hearing. <br /> Helen Moser, 2118 Pine, Chairman of the Citizens Advisory <br /> Committee for Housing and Community Development. She explained <br /> that there.wdre 17 agencies and 4 neighborhoods that applied <br /> (7) <br /> for funds. The committee is recommending that all groups <br /> Mntig.':utin?ung1! ree%W 47,,if:er=9T;a1 ta <br /> Everett Boy's and Girl's Club will be unable to spend the money <br /> due to a construction program scheduled next year. She further <br /> explained that one neighborhood Would receive $100,000 for a <br /> major project. The Northeast Neighborhood was selected to <br /> receive 5100,000 and the project will be a mini park. <br /> Councilmember Diamond had concerns about the additional <br /> maintenance required for another park. He felt more manpower <br /> is needed for our present park maintenance. <br /> Steve McNeil, 1010 Monroe Avenue, co-chairman of the Pinehurst <br /> Neighborhood group wanted Council to be aware that in their <br /> area there is only one park. They have been working with the <br /> Perks Department regarding the utility property at 74th and <br /> Wetmore. He further informed Council that this property was <br /> scheduled for surplus and wanted to make sure that it wasn't <br /> surplused. <br /> Councilmembers weren't aware of this and also voiced concern <br /> about this property being surPlUsed. <br /> 0 <br />
