The <br /> County share should have bex <br /> been$ 20,000. <br /> Roll w called with all councilmen voting yes except Councilman <br /> Gipsoa <br /> n who voted no and Councilmen Anderson who was absent from <br /> the Chambers. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> AGREEMENT-SNOHOMISH COUNTY MUSEUM AND HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION <br /> Mayor Kinch stated that since May 1986, the City has had an <br /> agreement with the Snohomish County Museum and Historical <br /> Association. According to the agreement, the City provides <br /> premises for historical displays and the Asscmiation essentially <br /> provides displays and programs. <br /> It is apparent that the City and the Association are unable to <br /> reconcile their differences related to the operation and <br /> management of the Museum. The -Mayor asked that Council <br /> Cauthorize the termination of the agreement on May 31,1992. <br /> Cruncilman Overstreet, Council liaison to.the Museum Advisory <br /> Committee, stated that he had met with the Association and also <br /> the Advisory Board, and feels that the Mayor's recommendation to <br /> terminate the agreement is the only way to settlethe issue at <br /> this time. He also stated that he was not involved in any <br /> negotiations. <br /> Tom Cooper, 2930 Wetmore, representing the Snohomish County <br /> Museum and Histori;•a1 Association, y eviewed the 38 year <br /> relationship between the City and theAssociation. He asked <br /> that Council allow more time for negotiations before terminating <br /> the agreement. <br /> Jerry Vrocman, Chief Admin'strative Assistant, stated that the <br /> City Attorney, Bruce Jones, <br /> xand Assistant City Attorney, Jim <br /> Iles,were the official negotiators for the City. He said the <br /> problems between the City and the Association vs also H <br /> experienced in other areas of the state. <br /> 8111 Lucas,.Everett,member of the Association Board,asked that <br /> more time be allowed for negotiations and to allow the World Mar <br /> II exhibit to go ahead as planned. <br /> C <br />
