156 <br /> April 2S,1392 <br /> (7) <br /> Councilman Overstreet felt Resolution 15 reflects opposition to <br /> the Paine Field expansion more strongly and suggested adding <br /> section G of Resolution.13 to Resolution A. <br /> Councilmen Moser and Pope agreed with this suggestion. <br /> Roved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Pope to <br /> amend Resolution A by adding "Until the above conditions are <br /> entirely met the City opposes the selection of Paine Field as <br /> part of the"preferred alternative"contained within the Puget <br /> sound Air Transportation Committee (PSATC)Environmental Impact <br /> Statement(EIS)"placing it as item G in Resolution A. <br /> Roxl was called on the amendment with all councilmen voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Overstreet also suggested inserting the word <br /> "thorough"in item A of Resolution A, as the process was not <br /> thorough. He gave the example of not thoroughly dealing with <br /> the expansion's impact on schools. <br /> Moved by Councilman Overstreet, seconded by Councilman Pope to <br /> amend Resolution A by inserting the word, (—)"thorough", in item <br /> A, Resolution A as follows, The City of Everett supports an <br /> impartial "thorough" process for planning and siting airport <br /> capacity <br /> Councilman Moser asked if the Word, "thorough" would change <br /> anything. Paul Roberts stated that,inserting the word would <br /> not Change th5 l5". <br /> Roll was called on the amendment with all councilmen voting no <br /> except Councilman Overstreet who voted yes. <br /> Motion defeated.
