26s <br /> July 22,1992 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 800 a.m.,July 22, 1092, in the City Council Chamber <br /> of the Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was found that Mayor Winch and all councilmen were <br /> present. <br /> Councilmen Diamond led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> Ta'Zrom=1°,T.ritntd.JulyCoLnilM:r12.0cilld'u=lineTt4gmwetg <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Winch revealed that the City had received a $175,000 <br /> grant from the Private Industry Council of Snohomish County.to <br /> be used for a ^City Kids Program." The program will give <br /> approximately 100 young people, meeting the federal low income <br /> guidelines,experiences in employment. <br /> Mayor Winch referred Council to a draft letter to <br /> Representative John Wynne regarding a request by the Town of <br /> Sultan to •buy water.. He voiced that he had not changed his mind <br />• regarding the sale of water to Seattle and that the <br /> disadvantages outweigh the advantages. He asked for Council's <br /> input. <br />• Councilman Gipson was concerned what would happen if we say no <br /> to the sale, <br /> • <br />
