278 <br /> CJuly 29,1992 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to <br /> order at 8.30 a.m., July 29, 1992,in the City Council Chambers <br /> of the Everett City Hell, President Gipson presiding. Upon <br /> roll call it was found that Mayor Kinch and all councilmenwere <br /> present. <br /> Councilman Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 22, 1992, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Kinch proclaimed the month of August, 1992, as Reynolds <br /> Aluminum Recycling Month. August is the 20th Anniversary of <br /> Reynolds Aluminum recycling company in Washington State. <br /> MAYOR,COMMENTS <br /> Mayor Kinch said he was glad to be back. While in Boston he <br /> came upon many ideas that could be beneficial to our city. <br /> COUNCIL COMMENTS • <br /> Councilman Moser requested that agenda item t6 (Commute Trip <br /> Reduction Program)be treated as an action item. <br /> CITIZENS'COMMENTS <br /> lerhe'm2a2for'2,75!nalPtrid'ing.'ofrn=dp1!:::t " "'cut"' 1 <br /> Jim Iles, Assistant City Attorney, reviewed the chronology of <br /> events. 'He explained that Mr. Foss. concerns were about two <br /> short plats pending before the Planning Department. Inc <br /> Planning Department nes been working closely with Mr. Foss to <br /> resolve the outstanding issues. One short plat has no <br /> remaining issues while the other short plat still has two <br /> issues. Based on review of tapes and memoranda the CLty has <br /> complied with its regulations end has complied with its <br /> representations to•Mr. Foss. Mr. Iles does not feel the City <br /> has made any errors in the process and has gone out of its way <br /> to work with Mr.Foss,pushing the zoning code to its limit. <br />
