January 5,2000 <br /> BID CALL-SEISMIC UPGRADES/WATER AND WASTEWATER <br /> FACILITIES PROJECT <br /> To authorize a call for bids for the Seismic Upgrades to the Water and <br /> Wastewater Facilities project. <br /> Roll was called on the consent agenda items with all courcilmdnbers voting yes <br /> except Counciimember Overstreet who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> RESOLUTION-SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE/TV INSPECTION <br /> EQUIPMENT <br /> Moved by Couorilm.mber Simpson,se xoded by Couocilmember Anderson <br /> to adopt Resolution No.4857 as the sole source for the purchase of TV <br /> inspection equipment from Cues,Inc.of Orlando,Florida for the delivered <br /> price of$39,988 including Washington Slate sales lax. <br /> Councilmember Simpson questioned whether there were local vendors who <br /> could have provided this equipment. <br /> Nancy Woods,Purchasing,sated that a local vendor would have had to replace <br /> the entire system. <br /> Resolution No.4857 is as follows: <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Council awarded Bid 1991-018 m Cues,Inc.for <br /> one(1)Hi Cube van mounted TV inspection system on June 26,1991;and <br /> WHEREAS.the original equipment needs to be upgraded by adding a pan and <br /> hit track driven cement equipped with 1580 feet of cable so that larger sewer <br /> mains can be inspected;and <br />
