January 5,3000 <br /> WHEREAS,retrofit equipment must be compatible with the existing equipment; <br /> and, <br /> WHEREAS,Cues,Inc.in the manufacturer and sole source for this equipment, <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT that because there is clearly and legithnately only one <br /> source of supply for Cues TV inspection equipment,the City hereby waives <br /> competitive bidding requirements and authorizes the Purchasing Manager to <br /> an agreement for the purchase of the subject equipment for a quoted <br /> ta <br /> • e of 538,988 including Washington State sales tax. <br /> Roll was called with all councihcembcrs voting yes except Councilmember <br /> Overstreet who was excused. <br /> Motion arMJ. <br /> GRANT AMENDMENT-DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY <br /> Moved by Counoihnember Warnock, seconded by Councilmeorber <br /> Anderson to authorise the Mayor to sign a grant amendment offer from the <br /> Local Tod<s Control Account of the Department of Ecology fora maximum <br /> eligible rust of$120,000 arta corresponding grant amount of$60,0(0. <br /> The work elements covered by this grant include geotechnical investigations, <br /> n egotiation support for the Cleanup Action Plan(CAP)and the Consent Decree <br /> (CD),preparation of gas management material Er the CAP,preparation of a <br /> focused feasibility study on landfall gas management, and review <br /> of <br /> groundwater information and development of baseline monitoring and cleanup <br /> standards for CAP. It is estimated that this work win cost$120,000 and the <br /> Depammem of Ecology's share(50%)would be$60,000,leaving a 50%City <br /> share of$60,000. <br />
