January26,2000 <br /> at STREET SAFEWAY <br /> President Campbell stated that the City Council will resume its consideration of <br /> the Safeway proposal to amend the Comprehensive Plan and Remne together <br /> with the proposed stmt vacation of Terrace Drive(agenda items 7,8 and 9). <br /> The City Couscd previously took public testimony on these items and the public <br /> hearings were <br /> re closed.The purpose of the Council's consideration of this matter <br /> at this time to review Saf ay's responses to the City Counc0's concern that <br /> re expressed at the close of the October 20,1999 public bearing,to ask <br /> questions and to make a decision. <br /> The City Council's consideration of this matter mnst be fan in fact m wen Se <br /> appearance. At the beginning of the public hearings on February 17,1999, <br /> Councilman Wamack disclosed his observation of a Pluming Commission <br /> mashy involving this proposal. Then was no objection made to his <br /> puticiwtion. <br /> President Campbell disclosed that he was absent from the October 20,1999 <br /> City Council meeting.He stated that he has since listened to the tapes of that <br /> mating and reviewed information on public testimony.He question.whether <br /> anyone had an oblation to his participation.No one responded. <br /> He asked if any councielember knows of any conflict of interests or other <br /> reasons that may cause concent that have not previously been disclosed? No <br /> one responded. <br /> He asked if any member of dm public had aoy objection to his or any of the <br /> couneilmembera'participation.No one mpoaded. <br /> Dave Koenig,Planning,explained that eauncilmembara have the docmnems • <br /> relating to these agenda items. There was some confusion at this time.
