lune 7.2000 ultimately all poat<onviction will occur in facilities outside of any Everett location except possibly Smith Island;and WHEREAS,the County Executives recommendations to the County Council include a proposal to develop post-conviction incarceration facilities outside of downtown Everett;and WHEREAS,the City of Everett conmus with the Snohomish County Executive's recommendation that the County pursue off-campus solutions and options for post-conviction inmates to the extent that it is outside of any Everett locution except possibly Smith Island;and WHEREAS,the City of Everett is willing to accept additional pre-adjudication jail facilities in downtown Everett provided the County agrees to retain and expend iS general govettmemal off facilities in downtown Everett and, provided Nailer,the County develops a plan for addressing its post-conviction reads: NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL hereby expresses its support for the Snohomish Courcy Executive's recommendations to the Snohomish Co.,Council as outlived in this Resolution; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL hereby expresses its support for the understanding that Mayor Hansen and Snohomish County Executive Bob Drewel and thew respective staffs have reached regarding master planning the Snohomish County civic complex in downtown Everett which would accommodate retaining and expanding certain of Snohomish County's governmental functions and operations,which understanding,in principle,is set Nnh as follows: Snohomish County will submit an application to the City of Eneren's Community Development and Planning Deponent fora master plan of County facilities in downtown Everett. Incorporated imo the master plan will be Snohomish County's proposed additions to its downtown properties including its civic complex located on existing County land between Lombard/Wetmore and
