lune 7.2000 <br /> ultimately all poat<onviction will occur in facilities outside of any Everett <br /> location except possibly Smith Island;and <br /> WHEREAS,the County Executives recommendations to the County Council <br /> include a proposal to develop post-conviction incarceration facilities outside of <br /> downtown Everett;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett conmus with the Snohomish County <br /> Executive's recommendation that the County pursue off-campus solutions and <br /> options for post-conviction inmates to the extent that it is outside of any Everett <br /> locution except possibly Smith Island;and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett is willing to accept additional pre-adjudication <br /> jail facilities in downtown Everett provided the County agrees to retain and <br /> expend iS general govettmemal off facilities in downtown Everett and, <br /> provided Nailer,the County develops a plan for addressing its post-conviction <br /> reads: <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE EVERETT CITY <br /> COUNCIL hereby expresses its support for the Snohomish Courcy Executive's <br /> recommendations to the Snohomish Co.,Council as outlived in this <br /> Resolution; <br /> AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE EVERETT CITY <br /> COUNCIL hereby expresses its support for the understanding that Mayor <br /> Hansen and Snohomish County Executive Bob Drewel and thew respective <br /> staffs have reached regarding master planning the Snohomish County civic <br /> complex in downtown Everett which would accommodate retaining and <br /> expanding certain of Snohomish County's governmental functions and <br /> operations,which understanding,in principle,is set Nnh as follows: <br /> Snohomish County will submit an application to the City of Eneren's <br /> Community Development and Planning Deponent fora master plan of County <br /> facilities in downtown Everett. Incorporated imo the master plan will be <br /> Snohomish County's proposed additions to its downtown properties including its <br /> civic complex located on existing County land between Lombard/Wetmore and <br />
