August 2,2000 <br /> WHEREAS,Ne City of Everett has a desire to work with citizens/property <br /> owners and be responsive to their concerns,and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett has worked with Snohomish County on the <br /> Airport Road annexation A a cooperative and constrictive manner;and <br /> WHEREAS,Ne voters of the Airport Reed annexation ma approved the <br /> annexation with a 56%pairive vote;and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Couail,based on testimony from citizens at the <br /> public hearing on July 26,2000,asks the Everett Planning Commission to <br /> review and make a recommendarion in regards to the Comprehensive Plan <br /> designation and zoning for area 9 on the attached map. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE EVEREIT CITY <br /> COUNCIL: <br /> I.Requests the Everett Planning Commission to review the Everett <br /> Comprehensive Plan designation and zoning for area 9 N Exhibit A during <br /> the annual 2000 comprehensive Plan update. <br /> 2.Area 9 on the attached map,Exhibit A,will be given the interim zoning of <br /> RS while the Everett Planning Commission reviews the Comprehensive <br /> Plan Map for the area in response to the residmm and property owners <br /> wishing to have the zoning remain single family. <br /> 3.The Everett City Council hereby asks the Mayor to direct City of Everett <br /> gaff to take appropriate actions to implement this request. <br /> Roll was called with all councilmemben voting yes except Councilmembers <br /> Gipson and Anderson who abstained from the vote. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
