August 33,3000 WHEREAS,the property owner of record was duly notified of these conditions, was given the opportunity to correct the conditions,and had adequateno tice of oppofuvitia to appear at hearings to appeal the City's allegations;and WHEREAS,the property owner failed to correct the violations;and WHEREAS,following a public hearing,the violations hearing examiner authorized the City to undertake and complete abatement of the violations at the full expense of the property owner if the property owner failed to abate them himself,and WHEREAS,the City did incur expenses la completing abatement of said violations at the subject property;and WHEREAS,notice of Council's consideration of the resolution was provided to the property owner of record; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT that the expenses set forth in the report attached hereto is hereby confirmed for the subj.property. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to certify the amount due and owing to the County Treasurer,which amount shall then be entered as an assessment upon the tax rolls against the subjem property with interest as provided by law. RESOLUTION—ABATEMENT/1618 BROADWAY Moved by Counrilmember Simpson,seconded by CouncWuembr Warnock to adopt a resolution confirming expenses Incurred by the City of Everett while performing abatements of violations,and authorising placement of a ileo in the amount of 8541.50 against the property known as IRIS Broadway.
