September 13,2000 <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> Mayor Hansen proclaimed September 13,2000 so Transit Appreciation Day in <br /> the City of Everett. He presented the proclamation to Ken Housden, <br /> Transportation Services. <br /> REPORT <br /> Marin Krell,Office of Neighborhoods,gave a brief report regarding a <br /> dedication held Saturday at Edgewater Park. A plaque was presented <br /> commemorating the fact that in 1935 Ne families of Ins Luken and Art <br /> Sorenson donated the land which the park is on to the City of Everett. <br /> Mayor Hansen encouraged the public to attend the Governor's Blue Ribbon <br /> Transportation Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m.,September I3,2000 at the <br /> Navy Commons. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Cnncilmember Gipson requested that consent hem#3,authorizing a call for <br /> Request for Proposals for a 3-year management agreement of Everpark Garage, <br /> be moved to the anion items.He questioned whether the issue of funding for an <br /> employee recognition program could be brought before the Budget and Finance <br /> Committee. <br /> Concilcmember Overstreet reminded everyone that Dervish of Sligo,Leland <br /> will be performing Saturday night at the Everett Performing Ana Center. <br /> Councilmember Warnock reiterated the Mayor's comments regarding the <br /> Governor's Blue Ribbon Trasponation Commission meeting. <br /> Counoibeember Anderson commented on the two sex offenders being hosed in <br /> the 1300 block of Lombard. He encouraged citizens to contact their Sum <br /> Legislators regarding the placement of Nese offenders in our neighborhoods. <br /> 399 <br />
