October 1,3000 COUNCIL Councilmember Warrak explained that the soccer corrplea in Pasco, Washington and sports complex in Spokane that they visited were a result of partnerships between the city or county and a soccer association. They are tremendous resources for their communities. He reported on the Toro= rowing facility that they also visited. Councilmmhc:Overstreet thanked Michele Hoverter for suggesting the visit to the Tmnto rowing facility. The trip to the various facilities sou time well spent. Councihvmba Gtpson reported that he IvrocgYed in a Washington Association of Future Firefighters even in which kids from many movies participated.He voiced that itis a program that on reach out to kids that may be having smggles in their own lives. The Ewneat Police Depmom has a oda program but the Everett Firefighters do not have a comparable program. He requested that the Public Safety Coins take a look at web a program. He indicted that Snohomish County hat passed a resolution repdiog vice crime arcrcas week.He requested that the Public Safely Committee and City Attorney Soave look at such a resolution for the City of Everett.
