November 8,2000 <br /> WHEREAS the City of Everett has imposed and collects annually a tax on Hotel <br /> and Motel accommodations;and <br /> WHEREAS the Revised Cade of the State of Washington provides guidance and <br /> direction as to the use of throe foods to promote tourism though community <br /> attractions and entertainment events;and <br /> WHEREAS.the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee reviewed proposed uses of <br /> funds and accepted the proposed uses of the Hotel/Motel tax receipts set forth <br /> below;and <br /> WHEREAS,the Everett City Councils Finance Committee has been changed <br /> with recommending to the full Council the use of Hotel/Motel Tax Funds,and <br /> recommends,among others,the three proposed uses set forth below; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Everett <br /> that the following distribution of Hotel/Motel Tax Funds be made in concert .I <br /> with the 2001 Budget of the City of Everett,and the Mayor is authorized A <br /> negotiate and execute a multi-year contract with the Salty Sea Days Association <br /> relating to and establishing the terms of this gant. <br /> Recipient Amount <br /> Everett Stadium Seating $52,311 • <br /> Snohomish County Visitors Center $17,O00 • <br /> Salty Sea Days Association <br /> Total $138,311 <br /> Roll was canal with all meet heers voting Yes except Cn.cm ...s, <br /> m. ... <br /> w <br /> Campbell,Pope and Overstreet whoo were .. <br /> excused. <br /> Maim carried. <br /> Cmncilmember Pope returned to the meeting. <br /> a96 I <br />
