November 15,2000 <br /> a request to rezone the property from 11-2 to R-3.The Planning Commission <br /> has recommended denial in this rase. <br /> Bob Corson,Planning,presented the highlights of the Planning Commission's <br /> review which lead to the recommendation which they provided to the City <br /> Council. <br /> Cououlmembef Gipson questioned whether the current configuration of the <br /> neighborhood allow,for dupteves.Bob Larson stated that it does. <br /> Don Avery,plum=and arcane,spoke on behalf of the three property owners. <br /> He gave an overview of the proposed project,two 10-unit apartment buildings. <br /> Couvcilmentber Gilr_on questioned what type of mitigation the applies.is <br /> willing to provide.Don Avery stated that W of the resident parking would be <br /> beneath the armoires and they would provide sidewalks and cubs along the <br /> streets as well as landscaping and lighting. <br /> President Campbell invited public comment. <br /> Odea Olson,6707 Berkshire Drive,stated that he agrees with the Planning <br /> Cnmmie ion's recommendation and that the proposed project doesn't fit late <br /> their neighborhood. <br /> Cheri Moran,6516 Elliott Way,expressed concern regarding the additional <br /> traffic which the project would generate. <br /> Brian Win,6704 Berkshire,spoke in opposition to the proposed project and his <br /> concern regarding extra urs in the neighborhood. <br /> Teresa Crowley,6614 Berkshire Drive,stated that she strongly opposes the <br /> Moved by Csuorllmember Overstreet,seconded by Counailmember Gipson <br /> to close the public hearing. <br /> 523 <br />
